Pelo Camp – One Week (6 Nights)
Botswana is blessed with some of the most beautiful reserves and exceptional wildlife in Africa. Ample grassy floodplains are home to a wide range of wild animals. Herds of Buffaloes and Elephants share the terrain with Lions, Cheetahs and even Leopards. The Okavango Delta and its crystal-clear waters are an oasis in the Kalahari Desert. This jewel in the desert is an amazing sight. Moremi Game Reserve, located within the delta, has the most diverse habitat in the country. It occupies a quarter of the Okavango Delta and its landscape is a mix of forests, lagoons, floodplains and islands. |
Accommodation: This intimate camp’s five spacious tents look out over the surrounding water. The main area comprises a tented dining area and lounge situated under impressive wild date palms, jackalberry and Natal mahogany trees. There is also a raised viewing platform built onto an old anthill.
Purpose: Pelo is an excellent example of a light-footprint camp, built using natural materials, operating on 100% solar power, and offering low-impact, carbon-neutral activities.
Note: Pelo is open annually from 01 March to 30 November. As an exception, the camp will remain open till mid-December 2020. With a change in operations for the following period as 01 March 2021 to mid-February 2022.

And the pure water experience primarily floating through the Okavango channels on mekoro. Glide seamlessly along the waterways of Pelo in a mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe) and take in the abundance of water-loving wildlife and birds.
