A WEEK ADVENTURE IN NORTHERN TANZANIA
– 5 Nights in Ngorongoro Crater, Northern Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ndutu and Lake Manyara National Park
The trip starts with lunch in Arusha town. In the afternoon you will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight will be spent at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 2 starts with a drive down (over 600 m) to the floor of the crater for a half day tour. Explore the forest
areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open Savannah where the lions hunt for food. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and, in the afternoon, drive to Serengeti National Park and proceed to the Lobo on the Northern part of Serengeti. Dinner and overnight will be at Lobo Wildlife Lodge.
On Day 3 enjoy morning game drives in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Return to your lodge for lunch before departing to central part of Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
Your 4th day will start with an early morning game drive and morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Lunch will be served at the lodge, and after lunch, you will be driven to Ndutu area on the border between Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Game view en route. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu tented lodge.
The morning of day 5 will be spent with a game drive around Ndutu Area. After lunch at the tented lodge, enjoy a drive to Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue driving to Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Lodge.
