KAYAKING IN BOTSWANA
Located deep within the Kalahari Desert of Botswana, the Okavango Delta is one of the world’s largest inland river systems. Each year, an influx of water from Angola floods into the Okavango Delta to create an amazing natural miracle; a patchwork of river channels, lagoons, islands and floodplains. The area is a magnet for birds and animals and sustains a vast variety of fauna and flora, making it and idyllic safari destination at any time of the year.

This annual flooding leaves vast parts of the Delta inaccessible to vehicles, making horses – and boats – the most natural and exciting way to explore it.
Leave the comfort of a car and go on an exhilarating kayaking safari within the patchwork of river channels. Paddle up close and view Giraffes, Elephant, Hippos, and other wild animals that call the Okavango Delta their home.
Combine kayaking in a pristine wildlife environment with game walks. Choose between short trips of 1 – 3 days to longer expeditions that cross the delta from Sepopa to Maun. Start and end your day with walks through the plains observing the local wildlife. Spend the rest of your day kayaking around the delta stopping mid-day on an island for a light lunch.
