SANDBOARDING IN SOUTH AFRICA

Explore and ride some of the highest, as well as one of the largest coastal dune field systems in the world. These magnificent dunes, known as the Alexandria Coastal Dunes, are situated at the mouth of the Sundays River near the Addo Elephant National Park, a mere 40 km from Port Elizabeth.

This adventure is for everyone – safe and fun for the whole family. Prior to beginning the sand boarding, an instructor will provide a thorough briefing on how to conduct your sand boarding experience, as well as how to prepare the sand sled for a great sliding experience.
Departure at 9am or 3pm on a leisurely 40-minute return cruise on the Sundays River Ferry to the majestic Alexandria Coastal Dune Fields near the Sundays River Mouth, where you’ll disembark the vessel.
As you disembark the river cruise boat you’ll step directly on to the sandy beach at the foot of the dune. Enjoy sandboarding on these dunes for almost 2 hours before returning back.
