KATAVI
Katavi National Park is an undisturbed place compared to others in the country, rarely visited by tourists. It is 4471 square kilometres in area, making it the third largest park in Tanzania. The park includes a river and a seasonal lake, a haven for Hippos, Crocodiles and countless Birds. Hyenas, Cheetahs, Lions, can all be found in this area.
MAHALE
Located next to Lake Tanganyika, Mahale Mountains National Park is Tanzania’s sanctuary for Chimpanzees. More than a thousand Chimpanzees co-habit with Lions, Elephants and Giraffes in the 1613 square meter park and the lake is home to Crocodiles and Hippos. With mountain and lake views, this is a place like no other in Tanzania. There are no roads within the park, it is only accessible by boat and explored on foot.
