The northern tip of Madagascar has a unique mix of marine habitats due to opposing physical and oceanographic features on the east and the west sides. The site covers the continental shelf from the coastline to the border of the shelf, encompassing many different types of shelves, bays and islands.

Nosy Be, a famous island in the north-west part of the country, along with its nearby reefs, offer unique spearfishing spots with good game fish such as Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Black Marlin, Sailfish, Giant Trevally, other species of Trevally, King Mackerel, Green Jobfish, and more.

This destination offers some of the best Billfish spearfishing in the world, and is the only location in East and Southern Africa where one can encounter the tasty and challenging Rosy Jobfish on a relatively regular basis.

​Our main spearfishing locations in this destination are productive reefs around Nosy Be itself, offshore Serpent and Castor Banks, the remote Cap San Sebastien, and remote offshore banks such as Intermediary and Leven Banks.
