Selective Fishing in Zanzibar Archipelago

The Zanzibar Archipelago, in Tanzania, is one of the most famous archipelagos in the world. Made up of the two main islands of Pemba and Unguja – the latter better known as Zanzibar – it evokes feelings of mystery, adventure and pristine nature. Zanzibar is a destination for spearos who want a cultural and beach holiday with friends and family while taking time to do some world-class blue water spearfishing for trophy fish including Wahoo, Black Marlin, Giant Trevaly, Greater Barracuda, Dorado, Green Jobfish, DogtoothTuna, Snapper and Yellowfin Tuna.
Enjoy half and full day trips out off Nungwi, on the north point of Zanzibar, or Paje, on the south-east coast of the island.  These can be provided as an add on activity to a bigger trip to Zanzibar and Tanzania or as a dedicated spearfishing package to include accommodation and other wonderful activities to be had in this special part of the world.

For a more extreme adventure Zanzibar has some of the best live-aboard spearfishing trips in the world.  With legendary Latham Island nearby, our trips boast several world record Dogtooth Tuna catches.  Therefore, the main target for these trips are the giant Dogtooth Tuna that aggregate in Zanzibar waters during certain times of the year.
